Third-party APIs can find NSS by CURP with employee consent. The consent flow is usually the employee accepting a privacy notice that covers IMSS data lookups — document it properly.

how do you find nss by curp programmatically? we're doing new hire onboarding and employees often don't know their NSS. we have their CURP (from their INE) so the logical step is to query IMSS with the CURP to get the NSS.
is this a straightforward API call, or does IMSS require the employee to initiate the lookup themselves? we want to pre-populate the NSS field in our HRMS without the employee having to go to imss.gob.mx themselves.
