I'm new to Mexican labor law and building an HR platform. Can someone explain social security verification Mexico from a technical perspective? Specifically: what data sources are involved (IMSS directly? third parties?), what information can be verified, and what are the legal constraints on employers doing these lookups?

Social security verification Mexico uses IMSS data via third-party APIs (no direct IMSS API). Employers can verify their own employees' IMSS status freely; verifying third parties requires the worker's consent per LFPDPPP.
